Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Expand Transport and Logistics Cooperation

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Develop Transport Corridors

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan continue their joint efforts to develop transport infrastructure and increase freight volumes between the two countries.

During a working meeting between representatives of the two transport ministries, the parties reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements in railway transport and logistics. Particular attention was paid to increasing infrastructure capacity at the Kazakhstan–Uzbekistan border, developing international transport corridors and expanding terminal capacity.

One of the priority areas remains the development of freight traffic along the China – Kazakhstan – Uzbekistan route. The expansion of this corridor creates additional opportunities for cargo transit between China, Central Asia and other international markets.

For the logistics industry, further development of border and terminal infrastructure means greater route capacity, more delivery options and a stronger role for Kazakhstan as one of the region’s key transit hubs.
